Although you don't need to eat anywhere near the same amount of a non-vegan to build a lot of muscle, you can still build a lot of muscle even if you want to follow the same high protein guidelines that most non-vegan bodybuilders follow. I'll show you how to take in 1g to 1.25g of protein per pound of bodyweight and still build a lot of muscle. That's how I did it the first time I built muscle on vegan diet. Enjoy!

Caught Freddy at the gym teaching another woman about giving up meat and dairy to fix her blood pressure.
He said he had high blood pressure back in January, and now that he's eliminated dairy and cut waaay back on meat to maybe 1-2 times a month, his bp is 117/73!!! No meds!

He also had chronic arthritis in one of his fingers with a large inflamed module for many years, and the module and arthritis is 100% gone!!

He also says he's been making gains on his bodybuilding even though the majority of his food intake is big salads, lots of greens all day long, and beans.

Go Freddy! Heal and pass it on!!

I went off today on a company call, ranting about how utterly useless oatmeal is as part of a nutrition program aimed at improving and generating health. Did you know how useless oatmeal is? Out of all the other nutritious foods you could be eating, did you know oatmeal ranks pretty close to the bottom of the sewer in terms of health generating benefits?

A fan recently asked "My partner is willing to go vegan, but is very determined to follow his low carb diet. During this spring, he wants to eat 80 grams of carbohydrates a day and 2 grams of protein per kilo of bodyweight. He weights 75 kilos, so that makes 150 grams of protein a day.

I am trying to figure out how this dietary goal could be achieved on a vegan diet, but I am having problems. The amount of carbs is very, very small. Do you know if there is any way in which we could make this work?"

I answer this question and provide the solution in this podcast. Enjoy!

Brooke, my wife, AKA The Vegan Medical Doctor, was a keynote presenter at the 2016 Austin Texas Vegfest. In the first 15 minutes she tells her story of how she had lupus, what it was like to suffer through 2 consecutive years of chemotherapy, injecting blood thinners every day, suffering from a TIA, and knowing she didn't have long to live. She shares how she was able to accidentally stumble upon the cure to healing Lupus once and for all with nothing more than super market foods. Please share this to anyone in your life suffering from Lupus or any auto-immune disease. We have the cure, and it's at your super market. Enjoy! -Thomas

A fan asked "I was wondering about the ketogenic diet. You know, high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet. I don't know much about the state of ketosis and its benefits or otherwise but heard bad things about the Atkins diet and Dr Atkins' health/death. These newer keto diets are supposed to have worked out those Atkins kinks - cleaner fats and proteins I suppose. It reminded me of your "high fat no flab" meal plan which I love btw and it sparked this curiosity. If we ate high fat no flab for say more than 12 weeks would that put us into ketosis and is that a good or bad thing?" so I answered by sharing my experience with ketogenic diets and how I use components of them in my programs to help stimulate faster fat loss. Enjoy! -Thomas

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
